Saturday, September 18, 11 AM – 1 PM – Elkhart River Cleanup

We’ll be meeting at American Park at 11 AM to clean up the river and river bank. Snacks, gloves, trash pickers, etc. will be provided. Volunteers should dress for the weather and activities (e.g. closed-toed shoes). We will be hosting a canoe ride from the Elkhart Environmental Center to American Park starting at 8:30 AM for interested volunteers. Canoe spots are limited, so registration is required. We also ask that you register for the cleanup so that we know how many supplies to provide. Registration is online at https://signup.com/go/CsCUmYq

Saturday, September 25, 8 PM – 10:30 PM – Manhattan Short Film Festival

We’re partnering with the Elkhart Public Library to host the 24th annual Manhattan Short Film Festival—a worldwide film festival where YOU get to be the critic! Watch a series of short films and then vote for your favorites, while enjoying treats from Kona Ice and The Dutch Kernel. This event is free and open to the public. The movies will be screened outdoors, so please bring your own seating (e.g. lawn chair, picnic blanket, etc.).

Sunday, September 26, 11 AM – 4 PM – Waggin in the Woods

We’re partnering with Tracking in the Shadows to provide a family- and pet-friendly event! Bring your dog out for guided nature hikes, microchipping ($15), nail trims, agility demonstrations, pet-friendly vendors, food vendors, and more! There will be a Pooch Parade at 2 PM (costumes encouraged!) with a prize for the best-dressed pup. Entry is free, with a suggested donation of items such as high-quality dog food, pet beds, pet toys, food/water dishes, leashes, collars, crates, treats, pet store gift cards, etc.

No VAX-Wear a MASK!
