About the
Elkhart Airport.
Our Mission
To be a safe and efficient aviation gateway to the world.
Jobs
In addition to the jobs that exist on airport property, hundreds of other jobs throughout the community are linked to the existence of the airport. More than 1,520 jobs have been created with an annual salary of around $70,000 according to the Aviation Association of Indiana.
Significant Economic Impact
The Aviation Association of Indiana conducted an economic impact survey that included all of Indiana’s airports. The main purpose of the survey was to determine the true value in terms of dollars returned to the communities that otherwise would not be realized if not for the existence of the airport. The combined direct and indirect economic impact of Elkhart Municipal Airport was determined to be $197,000,000 annually!
